Origo, Solna Strand

White Arkitekter

A vibrant hub where work and social life meet

When White Arkitekter was commissioned to design the Origo office building for Humlegården Fastigheter AB, the ambition was to create a lively building where work and social life could merge. With its nine floors, Origo has become a landmark in Solna Strand, developed to connect people with the surrounding urban environment.

Architecture meets landscape

Origo is characterized by open, light-filled interiors and carefully selected materials. Large glass façades at ground level seamlessly connect the building’s interior with the adjacent streetscape. Outdoors, the building is framed by a lush courtyard and a series of public spaces that invite activity and social interaction throughout the day.

The courtyard is defined by rich, green planting that brings biodiversity and seasonal variation. Public seating, pathways and steel edging create a sequence of spaces where people can meet and socialize. On the rooftops, the experience continues with opportunities for workspaces under the open sky, an orangery and the Origo Top Bar with panoramic views over Stockholm.

Milford’s contribution

Once again, Milford contributed with its Contrast Freestyle system, forming the basis for all steel edging solutions and a range of custom-designed wooden benches. Together, these elements tie the outdoor areas to the architectural language of the building.

Contrast Freestyle™ is an EPD-certified steel edging system, tailored for each project and delivered ready for installation.

Result

With Origo, White Arkitekter and Humlegården have created a modern office building where architecture and landscape blend into one coherent whole. The project is certified Miljöbyggnad Guld.
