Nordea Bank’s head office in Ørestad was completed in February 2017. This iconic building takes Nordic landscapes as a source of design inspiration.
Transparency has been a key aspect in the project. Both for employees and customers but also for the surrounding urban space.
The facade is transparent and provides wonderful light penetration. It also gives indoor trees far better growth conditions. The choice of materials, both internal and external, was inspired by Nordic nature.
Outdoors, landscape architects SLA designed an environment that can be enjoyed both by employees and residents of the area. Trees in the impervious paving were planted with StrataCells and the RootRain irrigation system to give the trees optimal growing conditions.
